Such a Beautiful Hotel....But They Have A Front Desk Clerk Who Is Anything But!!

This is the first time I've ever left a rating and its long. Sorry. My thoughts are that this shouldn't go unheard. When we travel we always stay at Homewood Suites in Canada and in the USA with great satisfaction. After dozens of stays and only one less than acceptable I am here to say that Homewood Suites London Ontario is a hotel we will no longer stay at. It all started with a noisy heating/cooling system which we had tried to turn off...it wouldn't turn off. I tried calling the front desk and.....the phone was not working...I had to go downstairs and ask for a change of rooms. I was told there were none available. I stepped out as I had somewhere to go. My wife who was extremely upset went down and asked if there was another room. She told the clerk that in her experience Hotels always have extra rooms The clerk promptly placed her hand under her chin, propped it up on the computer and she asked her where had she ever heard something such as this. She reiterated the same thing on two more occasions. My wife asked for our money back and was told that she wasn't able to give it to her. She then asked for the Manager and was told he was not available. After arguing for at least 5 minutes the Clerk waved her hand in the air and dismissed my wife saying get away "she had other people to take care of" My wife who isn't the least bit afraid to speak her mind called the clerk A B---- under her breath but loud enough for the clerk to hear and turned to walk away. The clerk turned to my wife and YELLED you F****G B****and used the term loudly and repeatedly. Other words were shared and my wife eventually walked away. When I returned my wife told me what had happened. I myself went back to the front desk. The clerk denied ever having used foul words. My wife was wrong, she admits it, but for someone who is the only face you see when you enter a hotel the attitude displayed of arrogance, being waved away as you would an errant fly and with complete disregard for a patrons needs is unacceptable. We have been Gold Members with Hilton for a couple of years. This year and last we didn't travel for medical reasons. It is our sincere thoughts that we never encounter an individual such as this when we stay at our next Hilton Hotel.

stayed here over night to visit Piney Campground the following day. we love going to Pinery beach but during that time the beach was closed due to bacteria presence at the beach, which we didn't know :( I booked 2 queen bed but when we got to our room, we were given a corner unit with 1 king bed and whirlpool (sofa bed in the living room). I wanted to change to what I originally booked but the kids wanted to use the whirlpool so we didn't ask to be moved to different room. My 3 kids and their cousin took turn using the whirlpool. we ordered food and ate in for dinner. breakfast was provided.

This place is wonderful! From the start the staff have been amazing! Lobby was great, helpful staff, great rooms! Breakfast has many good choices, both hot and cold food available. We'll kept, comfortable clean bedding. Would stay here again for sure!

Not Hilton Standards with limited security

Staying at this hotel for 4 days, March 18 - March 23, 2024 while staying in London for some training. I shopped around for what was in the area and discovered their were a couple in the area and decided on Homewood suites. Check in was no problem. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The shower was hot but you had to turn it to the hottest level. Breakfast was being offered starting at 6 am and was there at 6:10 for the first couple days. They have a pretty good selection to choose from the only problem was the eggs, bacon, potatoes were warm. Out of the 4 days I was there the food was never hot. On my 2nd night I discovered my back window was smashed and someone had a little time going through my vehicle where they stole a few coins that were in my console. The cost of the window and the aggravation was more then what they stole. My issue is when I went to report this to the hotel, the front girl really didn't care. When I told her she apologized and gave me the phone number to the local police. I asked her when seeing 12 security monitors if they can get any footage for the outside one. She informed me that they have no camera outside. I replied you have 12 monitors there and none outside and she replied yes. She said I need to call the police and left to go behind the corner. Friday, I went down for breakfast at 630 am and saw two security guards at the front counter. I don't know if they work there, if they do they obviously didn't do their job 2 nights ago as they didn't notice a window smashed in their parking lot. My advice to anyone is to probably stay across the street at The Staybridge suites. this would be the same type as Homewood. There they have a better lighting parking lot and as security, I can only speak that Homewood doesn't have much. I don't think this hotel meets the Hilton requirements and standards
